Thematic IBE is a powerfull tool for your page. With this tool you can predefine search parameters so a custumers will always see the same results. This is very important for your thematic pages, where you want to expose some special offers.

You can setup a thematic IBE on your page in 4 easy steps:

1. You need to create Thematic IBE by selecting a desired search mask and defining search parameters
2. Add new sidebar (this is done with a free plugin for Wordpress)
3. Create new Thematic IBE widget
4. Finally add this new widget to your page

First, you will need to create new thematic IBE, with desired search parameters.

From Settings menu, select IBE thematic settings

Select your name for Thematic IBE and choose a content type:

Now enter predefined search parameters and click on Save changes.

In order to put thematic IBE on you page, you need to have available sidebars where you can put this widget.

A great tool to add more sidebars is a plugin called Widget On Pages.

To add new sidebars, all you need to do is increase a Number of additional sidebars and click Save Changes.

Then enter unique sidebar name. It is recommended that you use the same name as you used in thematic IBE settings.

And finally click Save Changes again. That's it, you have new sidebar.

Now that you have your new sidebar, you need to put Thematic IBE widget on it.

You can do this on Appearance > Widgets settings page. If you go to this page, you will see your new sidebars that you have created with Widget On Pages plugin.

Add IBE Thematic widget to your sidebar by either drag-n-drop or by clicking on widget and clicking on sidebar.

After you add widget to your sidebar, you must select which Thematic IBE you whish to display.

From this last picture you can see this short code [widgets_on_pages id=“Thematic IBE Test”]. This is a code you need to put on your page, so remember it.

Last thing to do is add your new sidebar with Thematic IBE widget on your thematic page.

Create new page (or open an existing one) and add this short code that you have remembered before [widgets_on_pages id=“Thematic IBE Test”].

And that is all. You have successfully created your first thematic IBE. If you need to change some search parameters, then just open again your thematic IBE settings and change the parameters. Changes will be instant so you don't have to save widgets again.
